Hillside on outside of Turn One being moved back for increased run-off area and better viewing of the front straight from Turn Two viewing area. New Red Bull Energy Center being built atop hillside.
On The Drawing Board
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with the help of the Laguna Seca Raceway Fund is planning to replace the start/finish bridge with one that is more than twice as wide to improve fan foot traffic. The track is also working on a new sewage treatment plan to add more permanent restrooms. Terracing of the hillsides for better seating is also being considered.
